The choice is between The Menu and Pinocchio, this week

The Menu is a black comedy horror film in which a couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) travels to an exclusive restaurant on a coastal island, unaware of the disturbing surprises awaiting them.

The trailers have been intentionally vague, which I appreciate. They also intrigue me because you can tell more is going on than meets the eye. Besides, critics loved The Menu.

They gave it a Rotten Tomatoes score of 89 per cent, calling the film ‘Creepy’ and a ‘Blast.’ You can watch The Menu in cinemas today.

If you prefer to stay home, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio is also available on Netflix right now. The film, which is set in Fascist Italy, is already a frontrunner for best animated feature at the Oscars. Critics have called the film ‘Intelligent’ and ‘Enchanting.’
